In 2022 we applied for and won a grant from Animal Kind International. Our AKI grant project, Teaching Children How to Care for Their Dog, will print and distribute 3000 sets of pet care materials to four organisations that we’ve worked with in the past and that are always in need of educational materials.

That’s so magical and incredibly well deserved !

SO awesome!! Yay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You women are so lovely, courageous and kind !

Well done!!!
We’re doing educational assemblies ongoing with our new videos, being able to give the kids materials at the same time would be amazing!

 Congrats again!

“Christmas Came Early! It certainly feels like Christmas morning … opening boxes of Activity and Colouring books which arrived from Cape Town via courier today.

Hero in my Hood received a grant from Animal-Kind International for educational material and we were so privileged and excited to hear that Edu Paw would be one of the recipients.

We have been using the Activity Books for some time now and are thrilled to receive and see these amazing colouring books for the first time. Every page contains a lesson in proper Canine Care.

Thank you Hero in my Hood and Animal Kind International. We are so grateful. The kids enjoy the fun activities and will benefit further as we take them on a learning journey through these beautifully illustrated colouring books.” Cathy Keegan – Edupaw

”A while ago we were thrilled to learn that we were the lucky recipient of a grant from Animal-Kind International through Hero in my Hood from whom we have sourced much of our educational material over the years. The grant supplied us with dozens and dozens of canine welfare activity booklets which enables us to reach even more children and teach them about the five freedoms of animal welfare. Last Friday the whole dog school, consisting of about 80 learners, each received a colouring-in book and box of crayons which means that this vital message was taken home to share with 80 families in the community.” -Funda Nenja
